For 30 years, locals have flocked to Crows Nest for the annual Crows Nest Festival, which sees more than stalls selling food, craft and homewareslive performances and street entertainers take over the suburb's streets.
Coronavirus means the event has had to be cancelled this year — but the consolation prize is Back to the Nest, a weekend of busking, mural-creation and deals from local businesses. Muralist Sophi Odling and Wolf and Kitten artists Dolan Reskov and Juliette Reskov will be live-painting murals over the weekend, while Zest Events will be creating chalk art and buskers will take to the streets.
A slew of local businesses will also be offering great deals to bump up people's moods. Keep up to date with deals on the Crows Nest Festival Facebook .
Note: streets will not be closed and stalls won't be set up as in years. Covid marshalls will ensure social distancing.
